Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I spent months working 12 hours sanding floors, and taking wallpaper down with the baby on my back and the others playing into the playpen. Ha! Everything was starting to fall into place, but we were nowhere near done. In order to furnish the house, it was going to take a lot of effort in terms of budget and time. It was also going to be a challenge to go out and shop for my most-loved items. In order to stay within my budget, I began attending estate sales along with my three brothers to search for diamonds in the rough. Each week we would spend between Thursday and Saturday in estate sales and garage sales purchasing old and brand new furniture. Then I repainted and smoothed the driveway during the workweek. The furniture was like this... which is where I found my love to restore. After our home was furnished I couldn't stop! On the streets I set up a little area and then sold a few items. Eventually, my collection grew so large that the room that I was living in was no longer adequate. The house became a venue that I hosted open houses. Up 1000 people would be able to view items from the first floor, and then purchase these items. Growing Days was created in the home. While my company grew and so did our small family. In some ways, I was able to find the perfect balance between being a mum and starting my new business. Growing Days was the obvious choice. My sweet Nora arrived in the year 2013, which was our fourth baby. This was an excellent direction for my company, however I was also in need of some time off. I decided to put off building my old furniture for a few months and be at home with the children. That was precisely what I was looking for. The phone rang again after some time. I was getting messages from individuals asking for assistance with home improvements as well as interior design. These were mostly customers who visited my house for furniture. I began to take on customers one by one working at my own pace but it wasn't too for long to have several accounts, and I was operating a complete home renovation business. Had you told me my business would be the basis for a DIY Network show, I would probably have been astonished. If I think back, it still makes me laugh.
