Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I spent months working 12 hour days cleaning floors and tearing down wallpaper with one baby strapped to my back, and others playing inside the playpen. Ha! We were getting closer to finishing, but the project was still a way off. The project would require the time, energy, and of course my favourite shopping experience for furniture to decorate this home. To stay within the budget, I started going with my boys to estate sales in search of diamonds. Our weekly routine consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through estate sales and garage sales, buying antique and brand new furniture as well as spending the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. My first impression was like... this is when my passion to restore furniture was born. When our home was fully furnished, I could not put it down! I also had a booth at the market to sell objects. Then, I ran out of numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the space available. Open houses were held in my home where one thousand people would visit on a single weekend. visitors could buy anything from the ground level. Growing Days is the result from this. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing our sweet family as well. It was like I had found the perfect way to balance being a mom and starting my new company. Growing Days just fit. Nora came into our lives in 2013 to be our fourth baby. I adored where my business was taking me, but I felt like I needed to take a breather. I decided to take some breaks from my old furniture and stay at home with the kids. It was the right time. After a while, without a phone, it began to ring. They wanted my assistance in decorating and home renovations. These were mostly customers that came to my home to purchase furniture. While I was working I began adding customers to my client list each day. But it wasn't long before I had many clients and operated a profitable home improvement business. It is likely that I'd have laughed had I had been told that the venture was going to be the premise of an upcoming television show in the DIY Network. If I think back, it makes me laugh.
