Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One baby was strapped on my back, while another crawled around in the playground. I worked 12 hour days, for months, sanding and removing wallpaper, and with just one child. Ha! All was starting to come together but we weren't anywhere near finished. It would take money, effort, as well as my personal favorite for furniture to decorate this home. To keep within my budget I took my kids with me to look for hidden treasures at estate sales. Every week, we spent the week of Thursday through Saturday at estate sales and garage sales, buying old and new furniture. In the end, I repainted and smoothed the driveway in the week. The look was a little similar to this... This is the place where my passion for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. Although our house was decorated, I was unable to stop. There was an area on the market, where I would sell objects. It was possible to expand the area because I had many more pieces than I was able to use. The number of people who visited my home over the course of a weekend, to shop for all the things on the ground. It was here that my business Growing Days was born. My business was not only expanding, but so was our family of four. There was a perfect balance between starting a business and being a mother. Growing Days seemed like the perfect combination. My beautiful Nora came into the world in 2013, our fourth baby. Though I was content about the direction my company was taking, I realized that I had to take some time off. I decided to take some break from my antique furniture and be at home with my kids. That was exactly what i wanted. But after a short time, my phone began getting busy. They were asking for my help in interior decoration as well as renovations. The majority of them had attended my house during the open houses for furniture. It wasn't long before I was managing a full-scale business for home improvement. I began by taking clients on one with a speed I was at ease with. If you had told me that my venture would end up being the basis for a DIY Network show, I likely would have thought you were crazy. As I think about the circumstances and think about it, I laugh.
