Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer who was also one of the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Her father was a theatre enthusiast from a very young time. When he was a student of Emory University, he performed in several productions in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force, and was stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he appeared in a production together with Betty Lou Bredemus. Eric Anthony was their first born. They got married in 1957. Walter was studying at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957, the couple were discharged from the air force and Walter started his education at Tulane University. Walter worked with Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the couple moved into Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou began producing a children's TV show in Georgia, Decatur called Bum Bum and His Buddies. They funded the show themselves. The following year, they started the Actors and Writers Workshop which operated for a period of six years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also known as Lisa) and Julia (also known as Julie) during this period.
